Camp among the apple trees just steps from the taproom and Yew Tree Inn. Spend your day relaxing in the orchards, meeting the cider-makers, and learning about traditional techniques from the farm team. Enjoy a guided tasting of dry and medium ciders, perries, and seasonal small-batch blends, each introduced with stories from the land and the pressing shed. It's a personal, unhurried experience that makes each glass feel rooted in place.
Ross Cider Festival is scheduled for Friday 28th - Sunday 31st August in 2025, the Ross Cider Festival brings together local food trucks, artisan producers, and folk musicians for a relaxed, family-friendly weekend in the orchard. Booking is essential, with a three-night minimum stay during the event.

Day 1 – Arrival in Ross-on-Wye
Pick up your camper and arrive at Broome Farm in the late afternoon. Settle in among the trees, explore the taproom, and enjoy a relaxed dinner and a pint of dry cider. Ross-on-Wye itself is a lovely riverside market town with Georgian architecture, antique shops, riverside walks, and cafes dotted along its winding streets. It’s worth an afternoon in its own right.
Day 2 – Orchard Tour + River Wye Walks
Join a morning tasting and tour, or wander the orchards on your own. In the afternoon, drive or cycle into Ross-on-Wye, rent a canoe on the River Wye, or enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank towards Wilton Bridge. Return to Broome Farm for pizza and music.
Day 3 – Hay Bluff or Herefordshire Hills
Take a short drive west to hike the ridge of Hay Bluff or visit nearby market towns like Ledbury or Monmouth. If you’re visiting during the festival, spend the entire day enjoying cider, food, and live performances.
Day 4 – Drive to Snowdonia
Head northwest into Wales, taking in views of the Brecon Beacons as you drive toward Snowdonia. Stop for lunch in Llangollen or at Lake Bala before reaching your campsite near the base of the mountains.
