Day 1

Pick Up in Port Elizabeth → Addo (Night in Park)

Collect your campervan, stock up on supplies, and drive to Addo. Settle into the SANParks campsite before enjoying your first night under the bush sky.

Day 2

Addo Safari Day (2nd Night in Park)

Spend the day on self-drive loops through Addo, spotting elephants at waterholes, zebra on the plains, and a wide range of birdlife. Return to camp for a relaxed evening in the park.

Day 3

Amakhala Game Reserve Ride → Overnight Nearby

Drive ~40 minutes east to Amakhala for a full-day guided horseback ride through the bushveld, with wildlife viewing and a picnic stop. Overnight on the reserve if available, or at a campsite near Port Elizabeth.

Day 4

Amakhala → Tsitsikamma (SANParks)

Head west to Tsitsikamma National Park (190 km / ~2 h), a striking part of the Garden Route where dense forest meets rugged coastline. Walk the famous suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth or follow one of the short coastal or forest trails. Campsites sit right above the ocean, making it the perfect place to watch the waves and cook out.

Day 5

Tsitsikamma → Knysna & Wilderness Stops → Gletana Beach

Follow the Garden Route, stopping for lunch at Knysna’s lagoon and a photo stop at Wilderness Beach. Continue to Gletana and enjoy a sundown stroll along the sand.

Day 6

Gletana Sunrise Beach Ride → Doornkraal Farm (2 Nights)

Start with a morning ride on Gletana Beach, with the option to walk or canter along the surf. After lunch, cross the Outeniqua Pass to Doornkraal Farm in the Klein Karoo.
