Day 1

Collect Camper & Addo Elephant Park

Pick up your campervan in Port Elizabeth and drive directly to Addo Elephant Park. Begin your adventure with an afternoon self-drive safari among elephant herds and buffalo.

Day 2

Addo Elephant Park

Spend the day exploring Addo’s diverse habitats. Watch elephants, buffalo, and kudu gathering at watering holes and enjoy sunset views from your campsite.

Tsitsikamma National Park

Drive west to Tsitsikamma National Park. Camp right beside the ocean with spectacular coastal views. Explore forest trails and the famous suspension bridges.

Day 4

Plettenberg Bay & Arrive Knysna

Enjoy lunch overlooking beautiful Plettenberg Bay Beach, famous for its long golden sands, dolphin sightings, and vibrant waterfront cafes. Drive to a campsite in Knysna, such as the Knysna Lagoon Caravan Park, which offers pitches right by the water with views of the lagoon and easy access to the town.

Day 5

Simola Golf & Arrive Gondwana Private Game Reserve (Hotel night)

Morning golf at Simola Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course with panoramic views over Knysna Lagoon and indigenous forests. Non-golfers can enjoy time exploring Knysna’s boutique shops, waterfront market, or Featherbed Nature Reserve. Drive to Gondwana Private Game Reserve, a luxury malaria-free Big Five reserve with spacious suites, a spa, and an infinity pool overlooking the mountains. Option for a sunset game drive followed by dining in the reserve’s elegant boma restaurant serving modern South African cuisine.

Day 6

Gondwana Private Game Reserve (Hotel night)

🚐Morning game drive tracking lions, elephant, and rhino. Relax in the pool, book a spa treatment, join a guided bush walk, or enjoy birdwatching from your deck. Optional evening game drive before dinner under the stars. none

Day 7

Pinnacle Point Golf

🚐Another magnificent golf experience with a short drive to Pinnacle Point’s spectacular clifftop course, known for holes that play across ocean gorges and panoramic views. Camp nearby at Mossel Bay Point Caravan Park, right above the beach with excellent facilities. ~45 minutes

Day 8

Drive Mossel Bay to Winelands Camping

A longer but beautiful drive across the semi-arid landscapes of the Karoo and into the fertile Cape Winelands. Stop for lunch and coffee in Swellendam, a charming town with Cape Dutch architecture, and enjoy a wine tasting at Rietvallei or Springfield Estate. Finish the day setting up camp among the vineyards at Boschendal Wine Estate, which offers campervan sites with mountain views. In the afternoon, join a guided cellar tour and learn about Boschendal’s history, then enjoy a curated wine tasting with local cheeses and charcuterie. In the evening, dine in the estate’s acclaimed Werf Restaurant or have a relaxed braai at your pitch.

Pearl Valley Golf

Play a round at Pearl Valley, a Jack Nicklaus Signature course with immaculate fairways and mountain backdrops. Spend the afternoon exploring Stellenbosch before returning to your campsite for dinner—either cooked in your van or enjoyed in Boschendal’s farm restaurant.

Cape Town Hotel & Table Mountain

Drive into Cape Town to return your campervan. Check into your hotel for two nights to relax and explore. Spend the afternoon riding the cable car up Table Mountain for panoramic views or visiting the colorful houses of Bo-Kaap. The following day, discover the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, or take a day trip to Cape Point.
