Make this Meteora marathon training weekend the first part of an inpirinig running aventure through Northern Greece. Over two days you and the group will work with a coach on useful technique: video analysis of your running technique, clear pointers that stick, and shared runs to get your training into a higher gear.
Meteora’s setting—cliff‑top monasteries set a beautiful landscape of winding roads— really is a stunning location to be working on your running. After the weekend, our suggested route leads to Vikos Gorge and Corfu, then back via Delphi and Athens, where you can jog past the big sights and—when open—run a lap of the Panathenaic Stadium.

📅 Friday evening — Welcome dinner: Meet the coach and enjoy great Greek food and hospitality as part of your first evening.
📅 Saturday morning — Warm‑up run + technique session: Easy run to loosen up, then short video clips and practical tips to try straight away. Complete the session with interval training.
📅 Saturday afternoon — Your time: Explore the monasteries (we’ll suggest two good viewpoints), rest, or take a gentle walk.
📅 Sunday morning — Longer run: Steady long run through the monestaries with clear advice as you go. 8km loop with option to run 2 or 3 loops depending on your preference.
📅 Sunday afternoon — Your time: Time to hike, rock-climb, visit pre-historic Theopetra cave, drink coffee in the Kalamaka old town or take a second chance at getting 'that sunset photo' of the monestaties
📅 Sunday evening — Drinks & dinner: Join the group for dinner and drinks in a relaxed taverna in Kastraki or central Kalambaka
📅 From Monday — Your route, your pace: Follow our suggested sequence Vikos Gorge → Corfu → Delphi → Athens, or pick the sections that suit your time and driving. We’ll provide our suggestions on where to run and connect the training group together by WhatsApp giving you the opportunity to share even more of this great trip with your fellow runners.
