Experience details

A USATF-certified coach meets you at your chosen campsite for a warm-up before heading to a nearby trail such as Soldiers Pass, Bell Rock Pathway, or Airport Mesa Loop. Over ~60 minutes you’ll receive real-time feedback on technique, breathing, pacing, and foot placement, plus simple drills.

You’ll finish with sharper technique and local know-how you can apply to every run that follows.

Best time of year
Spring (Mar-May): Cool mornings and mild afternoons are ideal for technique sessions and mid-length runs. Weekends are busy; start at dawn for quiet trails. Wildflowers add color to creekside paths. Summer (Jun–Aug): Very hot afternoons (30–40°C). Only recommended with strict dawn/evening run strategy and long midday shade breaks or higher-altitude Flagstaff days. Autumn (Sep–Nov): Golden light, cooler nights and stable weather. Creeks are quieter; trails run fast after first frosts.
Not yet convinced to travel by RV?
We think this is best by RV — you’ll wake up right next to the trail and start running as the sun rises. The ability to combine stops makes it special: you can link Sedona’s desert trails with Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas or classic Route 66 campsites, enjoying varied terrain and overnighting in nature along the way. If you prefer a resort stay, try Enchantment Resort in Boynton Canyon, where you can still access many of the same routes right from your room.
