Make this 3-day Lesotho high-mountain running camp the heart of an inspiring adventure through the Drakensberg and the Maloti Mountains. Over the long weekend, you’ll work with a coach on useful mountain-running technique: pacing at altitude, smoother climbing rhythm, better downhill control and optional video analysis that provides clear pointers you’ll remember long after the camp ends.
Lesotho’s setting — wide plateaus, remote ridgelines, quiet villages and enormous mountain silence — is a stunning place to focus on your running. After the camp, our suggested continuation route leads into the Drakensberg passes or along the Maloti highlands by campervan, where you can pick the sections that match your time, fitness and appetite for adventure.

📅 Friday evening — Welcome dinner: Meet the coach and settle into the highlands. Enjoy simple Basotho cooking, sunset light on the ridgelines and a relaxed introduction to the group.
📅 Saturday morning — Warm-up run + technique session: Easy run to loosen up, followed by short video clips and altitude-specific pointers: breathing rhythm, climbing efficiency and safer downhill lines.
📅 Saturday afternoon — Your time: Visit a local village, walk to a plateau viewpoint, explore high-altitude passes by campervan, or simply rest in the quiet mountain air.
📅 Sunday morning — Longer run: A steady run on plateau paths and ridge sections with real-time coaching on pacing, foot placement and managing effort at altitude. Distances adapted to comfort and conditions.
📅 Sunday afternoon — Your time: Take a gentle walk to a waterfall, relax at camp, read in the sun, or explore the wide grasslands around the escarpment edge.
📅 Sunday evening — Dinner & unwind: Casual group dinner with time to share experiences from the day, review optional video clips, and enjoy the stillness of the highlands.
📅 From Monday — Your route, your pace: Continue your adventure with our suggested follow-on routes: Drakensberg passes → Sani Pass area → Maloti highlands. We’ll share running recommendations and connect the group via WhatsApp so you can stay in touch, share photos and exchange trail ideas.
