Route details

This route links some of South Africa’s most dramatic mountain landscapes: the Amphitheatre Mnweni valleys Cathedral Peak ridgelines the contour paths of Giants Castle and the high-altitude plateaus extending toward Lesotho. The running is shaped by big basalt walls technical passes and crisp mountain air. With a campervan you can move easily between valleys

choosing sunrise contour paths, mid-morning ridge runs or a rest day
