A unique way to experience the Berlin Marathon, this camper van journey turns your race into something much more than just a weekend in the city. It’s a chance to explore some of the most beautiful and historic parts of Germany β€” from alpine trails to riverside towns β€” while preparing for the big day with warm-up runs along the way.

By combining travel and training, you’ll arrive in Berlin not only ready to run, but with a deeper sense of the country and its landscapes. It’s a more enriching and memorable way to take part in one of the world’s great marathons.

You can start your camper journey in Berlin, or choose a different starting point β€” such as Munich, Amsterdam, Zurich, Stockholm, or Warsaw β€” depending on your home, budget and travel preferences.

Trip Highlights

  • Get to know more of Germany on a set of scenic warm-up runs on the way to Berlin
  • Discover alpine lakes, Bavarian villages, medieval old towns, and the sandstone cliffs of Saxon Switzerland National Park (depending on route)
  • For race weekend, choose between a city hotel or make your budget go further by staying in your campervan in a top-rated Berlin campsiteΒ
  • Share your warm-up runs with other event participants, enjoy a pasta meal together pre-race, and celebratory drinks post-race (optional)
